Established in 1969, Fukunaga & Associates, Inc. is a Hawai'i-based, award-winning civil and environmental engineering firm. We provide consulting services for the planning and design of both private and public development projects.
Our full range of services includes feasibility studies, construction plans and specifications, project management, and construction consultation. We specialize in the design of potable and non-potable water systems, wastewater systems, drainage, athletic facilities, and overall civil site development. We're also experienced in advanced trenchless technology methods, including horizontal directional drilling, cured-in-place pipe (CIPP), and sliplining.
Our clients include state and county agencies across Hawai'i, the U.S. Navy and Army, and various private organizations. Internationally, we've delivered projects for the U.S. Navy throughout the Pacific, serving locations such as Okinawa, Japan, Guam, Kwajalein, Wake Island, and Diego Garcia.
Over the past five decades, we've built a strong reputation for innovative, high-quality engineering solutions. Notable projects include Honolulu's $1.8 billion Long Range Sewer Rehabilitation Plan and infrastructure upgrades at Ford Island, Pearl Harbor. We also supported the City and County of Honolulu in regulatory negotiations with the EPA and State Department of Health.
Additionally, we were awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract by Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Hawai'i.
Today, Fukunaga & Associates, Inc. remains a proud local small business committed to innovation, results-driven solutions, and excellence in engineering.
